Rachel Alexander – Digital Marketing Consultant

Rachel founded Alexanders 23 years ago and has lead the company through several transformations – initially as marketing consultancy; the next 9 yrs as a hybrid marketing/print/graphic design agency; for the last 11 years as a digital agency and web design company; and now – with the maturity of these services – harking back to consultancy. She has both an eye for form and design and is a skilled analyst who sees the insights and opportunities in websites/data that busy teams can’t make the time to get to. Her second degree in Mandarin and personal interest in China has also seen the agency develop expertise in Chinese marketing.
Rachel has been an ally for corporate marketers, boards of directors, junior marketers, and forward-thinking CEO’s. Self-Employed Woman of the Year (Sth Is) 2000. Formerly Marketing Consultant KPMG (3 yrs), Marketing Manager T & Ski (tourism apparel chain), Head of Cargo Market Development (team of 7) at Air New Zealand, market analyst at LWR Industries. Rachel loves polo (horses), skiing, interior design and gardening. Mother to two boys, aged 14, 16 and stepdaughter 20. Partnered to a North Canterbury farmer.

Kristin Lepkowski – Digital Account ManagerÂ
Kristin (pronounced “Christine”) is a terrific organiser, keeping your project flowing, media deadlines met and Google Ads results improving (Certified Adwords Manager). She brings 8 years’ experience in digital agencies and publishers in Germany and Denmark including digital and social media knowledge on Search Engine Marketing, Affiliate, E-Mail Marketing and performance marketing. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys social media, makeup, hiking, biking and kayaking. Having traveled through more than 40 countries, she has finally settled in the place she loves the most: New Zealand.
Samantha Mythen, LLB – Social Media Content Manager
Samantha recently graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Laws in 2019, however her passion is storytelling and content creation. From this passion, she has worked with numerous organisations and businesses to tell their story through social media and copywriting. For the past year, Samantha has worked as editor of CANTA, the University of Canterbury’s student magazine. Samantha has a keen eye for design and photography and understands the importance of engaging your new and current customers with unique and eye-catching social media content. Outside of working, Samantha loves going on adventures such as skiing, hiking and kayaking.
Paul Swafford – Web Developer
With 30 years of being an IT geek and software engineer, Paul has the passion and off-the-scale IQ to resolve any coding challenge in php with specialist WordPress and WooCommerce knowledge. Uni was cast aside when his part time business taking apart PC’s took off. He has developed online learning software, an online business directory, iOS apps and an online accounting systems (pre-Xero). Paul is BigCommerce and AWS Hosting certified
Brodie Thompson – Graphic Designer
Brodie is a gifted logo designer – and now front end web developer. He combines his good nature with the unique trait of being both creative AND reliable (these two things rarely go together in my experience). Born and raised in Central Otago, Brodie followed his passion to Christchurch after being awarded a scholarship to study Visual Communication Art and Design at the Design & Arts College of NZ. Brodie has spent the last 18 years in the design industry in Christchurch.
Ivy Cui – Chinese Social Media Writer
Ivy Cui is from Xian in China and curates content for a number of Chinese social media accounts. Having worked in a souvenir shop, she brings strong cultural knowledge of how Chinese in China and visitors in NZ use media. Ivy brings fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese, and proven success at formulating regular posts that also generate ecommerce sales.
Helen Leung – Financial Controller
Helen Leung BCom. After coming to New Zealand from Hong Kong on a working holiday visa, Helen enjoyed the healthy, work-life balance the kiwilifestyle offers and decided to live in Auckland. Helen obtained her second degree from the University of Auckland with majors in accounting and business law and has been working for a NZ family-owned furniture manufacturer since graduating. She likes going to Bachata dance class (although she has two left feet) and gym in her spare time. Helen has the cutest cat in the world, named Fish
